The movie has been directed by Dennis Iliadis and the screenplay has been written by Adam Alleca and Carl Ellsworth. The character of Mari Collingwood has been played by Sara Paxton and that of her parents John and Emma Collingwood has been played by Tony Goldwyn and Monica Potter respectively.
This movie is a remake of the 1972 film of the same name, which was directed by Wes Craven. The movie revolves around two teenage girls. Mari Collingwood and her best friend arrived at the secluded lake facing house of the Collingwood’s. But soon after their arrival, both the girls are abducted by a prison escapee and his gang. Both these girls are brutally raped and tortured and left to die.
